Reach Local is organizing a food drive for needy families in Newton. Due to the government shutdown, food stamps have been suspended for many families in our community.

If you are able, please bring non-perishable food items to Grace on Sunday morning, and Reach Local will distribute them to families in need.

Specific examples are:

  • peanut butter and jelly

  • spaghetti and sauce

  • microwave mac and cheese

  • soups

International Students, Inc. is collecting clean, used furniture for their Great GiveAway event in August. You can drop off your furniture at UStore, 3420 N. Rock Rd in Wichita from 8:00 to noon on July 19 and Aug 9.

If you need to drop off furniture on another day, call Josh Hildebrand at 620-546-3836 to schedule a time to meet someone at Ustore.

You can also drop off furniture and other household items the day of the GiveAway at First Free Church in Wichita on Aug 23 between 8:00 – 10:00 am. Thank you for blessing international students with items a college student would need.

Items needed:
We are looking for basic items a college student would need in their apartment/dorm.
Beds, couches, tables, chairs, desks, shelves, dressers, lamps, and nightstands. Basic kitchen items (no "gadgets"). Linens/towels. All items must be in good repair and clean, ready for distribution. No furniture from homes with indoor pets or smokers, please. Also, no large appliances and clothes.)

Amigo Love Offering Fundraiser Meal

Although we aren't able to send an Amigo team down to Children's Haven International in Reynosa, Mexico this year, we still want to send a love offering!

We are hosting a deluxe tostada lunch as a fundraiser to support the strategic building of a playground to help them reach out to the community around them.

Please plan to join us for lunch and contribute to this ministry.
