Seth Hershberger Bio
My name is Seth Hershberger and Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I grew up in a Christian family and went to church at Whitestone in Hesston including youth group and church camp. I graduated from Hesston High and later Wichita State. Sarah and I got married in 2003 and started attending Grace Community Church in 2005. Sarah is an interventionist teacher at South Breeze Elementary School. Our son Collin is 20 and attending Fort Hays State studying accounting and playing soccer. Our daughter Natalie is 18 and attending Kansas State University studying mathematics. Our son Grady is 14 and attending Newton High playing in the band, soccer, and tennis. I work at Excel Industries / Stanley Black & Decker as a Product Liability Engineer.
When we started attending GCC in 2005 we enjoyed digging deeper into God’s Word through sermons, the Young Married Sunday School class, and small group. I grew in my understanding and love of God and gave my life to Christ in 2007 and was baptized. Since that time, I have grown and served in Judgement House, Sunday School, ushering, Men’s Ministry, and being a small group leader and am currently serving in AWANA, Stewardship Council, and Life Safety. Sarah and I have raised our children in the training and instruction of the Lord with the help of many of you here at Grace through AWANA and Sunday School.
A summer 2025 mission trip to Botswana to support and encourage the local pastors and their wives showed me how important elders and encouragement is to any church. If I am approved as an elder, it would be my privilege to serve this body of believers by loving God through my faith and actions, loving others by sharing God’s Word, and teaching others to do the same.
